The original idea was by E.T.A. Hoffman but Alexandre Dumas engulfed it and is this version chosen for the ballet.<br \/>\nThe <a title=\"Centro de Danza de Catalunya\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cdcbarcelona.com\/cdcbarcelona.com\/Cascanueces.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Centro de Danza de Catalunya<\/strong><\/a> &nbsp;together with Company Pl\u00e0udite Theatre and <a title=\"Maribel &amp; Matteo\" href=\"http:\/\/maribelymatteo.wordpress.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Maribel Pozo Ruiz<\/strong><\/a> (Digital Art) stage this tale and has become a Christmas tradition throughout the world.
