«The Theater is one of the most expressive and useful instruments for the education of a country and the barometer that marks its greatness or its decline. A sensitive and well-oriented theater in all its branches (…) can change the sensibility of the town in a few years. The Theater is a school of tears and laughter and a free forum where men can expose old or mistaken morals and explain with living examples eternal norms of the heart and the feeling of man .”
Federico García Lorca, Charla sobre Teatro « Community Theatre : it is a form of theater performed by and for a well-defined community, with a main objective which is the shared scenic experience, and which, in addition, achieves other objectives related to the idiosyncrasy of the community that participates .” “There we find that the Community Theater is a path of participation, transversality, amateur artistic practice and relationship with art professionals.”
