ABOUT US

Plàudite Theatre is a performing arts organization for social transformation. It was born in 1998 in the city of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona) as a theater company, found a performing arts school and through experience it evolved into Community and Social Theatre.

Our mission is to guarantee the right to Culture through the Performing Arts to contribute to a positive and collective change rooted in the territory.

We want to be a cultural organization linked to the territory, with international projection, a benchmark for its quality stage methodology; based and contrasted in experience, sustainable over time, supported by a committed team of professionals and volunteers counting on the emotional ties of the agents involved.

Among its members we find professional Performing Arts artists with complementary training who consider Performing Arts and Community and Social Theatre as a tool to develop artistic sensibility, inclusion, social cohesion and as a vehicle carrying values.

“Plàudite” is the imperative of the Latin verb “plaudo” which means to applaud. It was used at the end of Plauto’s comedies (III BC) to request the applause of the public.

I am editing a remote podcast interview for a local history group. The conversation is clear and worth keeping, but a few transitions contain tiny digital ticks and a light shimmer around some consonants. Because the guest speaks quietly, I do not want aggressive processing to make the voice sound flat or distant. I have been reading about different ways to inspect a recording and came across this comparison page. I am not looking for a one-click promise; I need a sensible review process before I touch the final edit. Would you begin with visual inspection, careful listening, or short comparison exports? The guest’s voice needs to stay natural. Each brief repair should be easy to undo. I can work on a few troublesome moments at a time. The dialogue must remain steady. I would prefer conservative adjustments over broad filtering. A separate comparison export would help with judgment. I also need simple notes for the producer. The room tone should remain unobtrusive. The final episode must still sound human. Each decision should remain simple to explain. I can review it at quiet volume. I can accept a trace of noise if the words remain easy to follow. What has worked well when a spoken recording needs limited repair? I would value examples from editors.

?Muchas gracias!

Yesterday evening I reluctantly cleared the clothes I never wear from my work wardrobe. I have porcelain skin, naturally blonde hair, and blue eyes, so I expected the remaining pieces to work together fairly easily. Instead, anything close to orange-red makes me look tired, especially under the lights in our office. Colours such as gentle greys seem calmer, although I cannot tell whether that is a real pattern or simply preference. A recent photo in a dusty rose jumper made the difference noticeable enough that I want a sensible method before choosing a work capsule. I keep wondering whether I am reacting to the camera on my phone. To test a few sensible directions, I used hair colour analysis as a helpful way to narrow things down. Now I plan to compare the same two tops in daylight before choosing between a grey coat. I am trying to keep the experiment cheap, repeatable, and practical. Has anyone found one clothing test that stays reliable in different light?
